Cited.ie is an AI search visibility service for specialist local and service businesses, launching first with Irish law firms. Our Accessibility Commitment

Cited.ie aims to make its website accessible, readable and usable for people with different access needs, devices, browsers and assistive technologies. Our goal is to provide a website that is clear and easy to read; usable with keyboard navigation; usable with screen readers where practical; readable in light and dark mode; structured with meaningful headings; designed with visible focus states; built with accessible forms and error messages; responsive across desktop, tablet and mobile devices; and respectful of reduced-motion preferences where possible.

Accessibility is part of Cited.ie's wider commitment to professional, clear and responsible digital communication.

Accessibility Standard We Aim For

Cited.ie aims to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA where practical. WCAG is an international standard developed by the World Wide Web Consortium through the Web Accessibility Initiative. It explains how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.

Cited.ie does not currently claim formal WCAG certification or third-party accessibility certification. Instead, we aim to improve accessibility through good design, testing, feedback and ongoing review.

Measures We Aim to Support

  • Structure — semantic HTML, one clear H1 per page, logical heading hierarchy and clear page titles.
  • Navigation — keyboard-accessible navigation, descriptive links/buttons, visible focus indicators and a skip link.
  • Visual design — readable fonts, sufficient contrast, light/dark mode support and no reliance on colour alone.
  • Forms — visible labels, required-field indicators, inline errors linked to fields and form status messages.
  • Media — alt text for meaningful images and empty alt text for decorative images.
  • Motion — reduced-motion support where technically possible.
  • Preferences — cookie settings and theme controls that can be accessed and changed.

Website Features Supporting Accessibility

  • Light and dark mode — users may choose between display modes; the website aims to keep text readable and contrast strong in both.
  • Keyboard navigation — links, buttons, forms, expandable FAQ sections, cookie controls and navigation elements are navigable by keyboard.
  • Skip to main content — a skip link helps keyboard users move past repeated navigation and reach the main page content quickly.
  • Expandable sections — FAQ sections and Cited Visibility Score™ panels use accessible buttons and indicate whether content is expanded or collapsed.
  • Form accessibility — forms include visible labels, clear required-field indicators, helpful validation messages and confirmation/error messages.
  • Reduced motion — where animation is used, the site respects reduced-motion preferences.

Forms and Enquiries

Cited.ie forms are intended for business enquiries, Free Visibility Check requests, discovery-call requests and general contact. We aim for forms to be clearly labelled; usable on mobile and desktop; keyboard accessible; supported by clear validation messages; clear about required fields; and clear about what users should not submit.

Please do not submit confidential legal matter details, solicitor client case information, special category data or sensitive personal data through website forms. If a form does not work, users should try again later or use another available contact route on the website.

Known Limitations

Cited.ie is an early-stage website and may not yet meet every accessibility requirement in every browser, device or assistive technology setup:

  • Some interactive components may require further testing with screen readers.
  • Cookie preference controls may need ongoing refinement.
  • Some animations may need adjustment for reduced-motion users.
  • Some browser/device combinations may display elements differently.
  • Third-party tools added later may affect accessibility.
  • PDFs or downloadable documents may not always be as accessible as HTML pages.
  • Older browsers may not support all visual or accessibility features.

We aim to review and improve these areas over time.

PDF Documents

Cited.ie may provide PDF documents for internal review, client discussion or downloadable references. Where possible, important public information is also available in HTML page format, because HTML pages are generally easier to read, search, resize, navigate and use with assistive technologies. If you need a document in another format, contact us and we will consider reasonable requests where practical.

Third-Party Services

Cited.ie may use third-party services for hosting, database storage, email notifications, analytics or future support tools. Third-party tools may have their own accessibility features and limitations. Before adding future tools such as chat widgets, booking tools, analytics platforms or embedded services, Cited.ie will consider their accessibility, privacy, cookie and security impact.
